Cellulite is one of the most prevelent and hated aspect of a women’s body. So many
women have cellulite, yet irrespective of how much exercise is done, it will not shift. This
factsheet will serve to explain a bit about cellulite and how the Beautytek treatment process can really help.
Cellulite is deposits of subcutaneous fat and fibrous tissue that cause a dimpling effect on the overlying skin. These deposits most commonly occur on the thighs and hips of women. Though diet and exercise can diminish cellulite, a large part of cellulite is comprised of toxins and fat that accrues within the body.

Who can get cellulite?
Cellulite can affect men and women of any body weight or size.
1. The pinch test is a simple way to locate cellulite. Pinch the skin on your outer thigh between your index finger and your thumb, and look for dimpling. You can also try other regions of the body, namely the buttocks and abdomen.

2. The Nurnberger - Muller scale can be used to classify cellulite based on a four-stage process, beginning with normal skin and terminating with its most advanced stage

Stage 0
No dimpling when the subject is standing and lying. The pinch test reveals ‘folds and furrows’, but there is no mattress-like appearance.

Stage 1
No dimpling while you are standing or lying, but the pinch test reveals the mattress-like appearance.

Stage 2
Dimpling appears spontaneously when you are standing and not lying down.

Stage 3
Dimpling is spontaneously positive whether you are standing and/or lying down.
In order to remove cellulite, the collagen fibres surrounding the cells need to be broken down; connective tissue needs to be restored. Beautytek is the only treatment on the market than can do all of these things itself. The very low frequency micro-current used by Beautytek is regulated by the client’s own body, so there are no side effects and no possibility of injury. Existing cellulite is broken down and the body’s energy is increased to sustain the results for a much longer period of time.
A standard fat reduction treatment is conducted (c.60 mins) followed by an Active Cellulite Treatment (ACT) which lasts a further 30 mins. The ACT treatment is an additional therapy used to tackle stubborn fat and cellulite located on the following area of the body: abdomen, gluteus, leg and arm. A patch test is given after the third fat reduction treatment.

The ACT treatment is performed at the abdominal region or on the buttock/thigh region after the regular treatment. The area is wrapped in transparent plastic wrap. You should drink plenty of water to facilitate the expulsion of the toxins eliminated during the treatment.

Each client is photographed and measured at the start of the course and after every 6 treatments – this way there is a visual and measurable record of the success of the Beuatytek method.
